Committee Objectives: Another important element of the comprehensive plan will be an analysis of housing needs and recommendations for future residential locations and desirable de-sirable densities. GERMANE TO this investigation investiga-tion is an understanding of the sociological implications of major land-use developments as they are proposed. This committee should provide pro-vide for the identification of neighborhoods within the community com-munity and a means of understanding under-standing the social and cultural needs of the residents. Implementation Committee: WHEN THE CITIZENS committees com-mittees have functioned to the point at which definite community com-munity goals have been developed, develop-ed, an implementation committee commit-tee will be created. The implementation committee commit-tee will be composed primarily oi" persons representing each of the other committees. This committee witi consider and discuss the various means available for the implementation implementa-tion of land use planning goals. SOME OF THESE are zoning, architectural control, subdivision subdiv-ision regulation, neighborhood development program, and others. The implementation committee commit-tee should also involve members mem-bers of the City Planning Commission Com-mission and the City Council. Success of the continuing planning process will depend largely upon these units of local government. IMPROVEMENT OF the present process of land use review re-view and control in Park City should be a comprehensive plan objective. All persons who are interested inter-ested in participating in one of these committees are encouraged encour-aged to leave their name, phone number and committee preference prefer-ence with Mr. Keith Bailey, City Manager, at City Hall. The Park City PlanningCom-mission PlanningCom-mission is seeking Park City residents who would be interested inter-ested in participating in the updating up-dating of the city's comprehensive comprehen-sive plan. Planning Commission Chairman Chair-man Victor Buck explained that a consultingfirm has been under contract and making preparations prepara-tions since last fall for modernising modern-ising the now outdated plan. Surveys and research have been underway for several months. Citizens are being sought who would take part on citizen's committees. Each committee will be devoted to discussing community problems and needs within specific areas of concern. con-cern. The growth and development de-velopment of the area should be geared to predetermined growth parameters and knowledge of tlie Park City market potential. This committee should provide insights into economic realities or the Park City area, the desired de-sired limits and types of economic growth, and present needs.
