Show little; . . . one of sitting between be-tween Mother and Daddy riding in a real buggy during a big snowstorm. I was about 3-years old and even now I can remember remem-ber how we all laughed when the horse tossed up the new snow and it blew back into our faces. Another thing I liked to do when we had a big snow storm was to "make angels" flop down in the new-fallen snow on my back, extend my arms and move them up and down to make wings! FUN! I'm not one who normally wishes for the impossible but, by golly, this past Saturday and Sunday I DID wish for the NEXT TO IMPOSSIBLE. I wished that ALL the streets could be cleared clear-ed and salted! Did you ever see such confusion? con-fusion? That snow came down so fast that when I shovelled my porch and steps, by the time I finished the bottom step, the top step was fairly deep again. And the plows had the same problem. Three times during the early part of the storm they plowed my street and 15 minutes later you'd never know it! And drivers from Salt Lake City (unaware of the snow here) came happily up through the canyon and wham ran into the blizzard some even without snow tires! The smart ones parked their cars and walked; but some kept the police busy-busy-busy with fender benders. This was another time when I was ever so happy that I live within easy walking distance of practically everything in Park City! Main Street, the Resort, and all. A snow storm like this one always reminds me of a couple of particular times when I was |
