| Show NOTICE TO publishers ogden city utah april 5 1002 notice ia hereby given by tho board of education of ogden city that it intends to adopt text books for the public schools of said city for use during the period of five years from the ast 1st day of july 1002 the following is approximately the number and kinds of books required primers and first grade acad ars second grade headers thim grade headers fourth grade readers 1000 fifth grade readers 1000 sixth grade readers 1000 seventh grade readers 1000 eighth grade readers supplementary readers elementary language books english grammars or language and grammar spelling books primary 2500 higher 2500 mental arithmetic elementary 2509 higher geographies elementary U S histories 1000 advanced U 8 histories physiology and hygiene copy books music books drawing books HIGH SCHOOL BOOKS 2000 english classics history of literature english grammar rhetoric greek history roman history general history united states history logic psychology physical geography elementary algebra advanced algebra geometry trigonometry civil government latin grammar beginning latin latin cicero latin caesar 75 virgil latin physics chemistry astronomy german grammar german readers beginning german readers advanced separate and scaled proposals from publishers to furnish each kind of book in the number indicated above or such lesi number as said board may require each car stating the bidana terms thereof to bo accompanied by sample copies of the books proposed to be furnished together with a statement of tho introductory or exchange price and of a wholesale and a retail price at which the publisher agrees to furnish each book within ogden city during the full period of five years above stated will be received by the said board at its office in rooms eccles building in ogden city utah until tho hour of S p in on the ath day of june 1902 at which time and place said board will meet and publicly open and read all the proposals which shall have been received and will make its decision within thirty days thereafter alie publisher or publishers whose proposals shall bo accepted must enter into a written contract with the said board of education and shall give a bond with two sufficient sureties in a reasonable sum to be fixed by the board for the faithful performance of such contract the board reserves the right to reject any and all proposals or any part thereof the board of education of ogden city by E S clerk |
