Show KISSING JAP IS AGAIN IN TROUBLE In tho person of Frank Kagawn, the Japanese "kissing bug." tho police have on iholr hands, a white elephant and are looking about for some method meth-od of disposing of him. Kagawa has lcen twice arrested during the past month for attempting to kiss women on the streets. On each occasion the fellow has feigned inability in-ability to speak English when arraigned ar-raigned in court, although the arresting arrest-ing officers have tePtified thai!' he spoke English to the woman he attempted at-tempted to kiss. A Japanese Interpreter stated at tho police station this ruorninc; that Kagawa appears perfectly rational on nil subjects, but that he confesses to uncontrollable mania for osculation. According to this interpreter, Kagawa, v hile walking peacefully along the street, will be suddenly seized by the strange and irresistible desire to kiss some passing woman and will make an insane attempt to carry out the impulse. Kagawa was arraigned In police court this morning and fined $30 or thirty days on a charge of vagrancy. Judge J. D. Murphy instructed the police po-lice to communicate wlih the Immigration Immigra-tion officers in an effort to have the man deported from the country. Detective James Pender states that already the police have made such an eliort and learned that Kagawa has been In this country ten years and that deportation will be impossible. It is likely that the county officers will be notified of Kogawa's condition condi-tion and steps taken to have him committed com-mitted to the lDsane hospital. |
