George-Halvereon. Hall Commissioner Ande-r son and himself, alleged to be due to the refusal ot Mr. Anderson to turn over $75 to the attorney In the A. J-.Simmons J-.Simmons case. Simmons was found guilty In tho police court Friday of carrying concealed con-cealed weapons and was llnetl $25. At the time of his arrest he had deposited deposit-ed $100 as a bond, and Attorney Hal-verson Hal-verson has been making an effort to secure the difference between tho amount of the bond and the amount of the fine. According to the chief of police, the attorney has so far failed to produce uny authority to collect the $75 for Simmons or any right to take possession posses-sion of a gun held by the police and claimed to bo the property of the Spokane gambler. In stating tho police sido of the case. He became Infuriated when I made these remarks and threatened a law-', law-', suit Ho fiuld that some day wo would get Into trouble; In fact, ho became very abusive and disgusted nearly all present In the room. He again made , a demand on Rail Commissioner An-I An-I derson this morning and threatened suit if Anderson did not turn over to him the money aud the gun.
