Show KNIGHTS MEET IN SALT LAKE r Salt Lake, Oct. 12. This Wednesday Wednes-day the anniversary of the d'scowry of America by Christopher Columbus will be observed in Salt Lake by the conferring of the fourth degree on 120 Knights of Columbus. The Knights ill attend mass meeting at St. Mary's cathedral in a body this morning at I o'clock. Rt. Rev. Laurence Sran-lan. Sran-lan. bishop of Sajt Lake, will be the celebrant. In the afternoon the in'tatory ceremony cere-mony will be? In at the K. of P. hall ut 2 o'clock In the alternoon. The fourth degree will be conferred by fourth decree members of the order from different parts of the west. Among those who arc here to assist in conferring the degree are Thomas J. O'Brien of Salt Luke, master of the fourth degree for Utah. Idaho and N'evada; Judge .1. I. Mullins of Denver, Den-ver, M. C. Harrington of Denver. Jess B. Hawley of Bqlse. City Attorney J. H. DeYine of Ogden, Roy T. By; ;i ' of Omaha and Edward McGurrin i Salt Lake. The fourth degree w'll be conferred on candidates from Utah. Idaho, Montana, Mon-tana, Nevada and Oregon. This Is the first time that the fourth degree, which is the highest obtainable In the order, has even been exemplified In any city between Denver and the Pacific Pa-cific coast.
