Requests for seats reaching more than three times that number could not be nld. Robert McRoy. secretary of the American Am-erican league, and who has charg.; of the teat sale, declared that he had received mall orders for more than D.0U0 seats. The allotment was made in the order in which the letters had been received. Many of these had been tiled wlta Mr. McRoy for several weeks. "Every precaution possible was taken ta-ken to prevent blocks of sjats falling into the hands of ticket scalpers," said Mr. McRoy tonight. "The scats were distributed entirely with a view to being fair to the greatest possible number of buyers. ' Not more than four seats were allowed al-lowed to any one order." |
