Show MARIE J. WELCH.. ! The funeral services over the remains re-mains of Marie J. Welch were held yesterday In the West Weber Meeting bouse at 1 p. ui. There was a lar.ee attendance of relatives and friends of the deceased. Bishop W. J. Jar-dine Jar-dine presiding The ward choir furnished fur-nished a number of beautiful selections selec-tions of music. The speakers were Archibald McFarland. Nathan Hawk-es, Hawk-es, .Tames B. Hunter, George Hunter and P. TI. Soreneen of Brlgham City, who had known the deceased from her childhood In her natlv country pnd well remembered the time, 1 S73, when she accepted the faith of the Latter Day Saints, from which sho endured en-dured much persecution. In,lS77 she emigrated to Utah, and was married to George Welch the following year. She has resided lu Weber county ever since and hag raised a large family of 6ons and daughters. The speakers all pave testimony of her as a lovlnc: wife, a tender mother and a faithful letter Day Saint. Many words of comfort nnd consolation were offered to the grief stricken family. Interment took place In the family plat In the West Weber cemetery. The grave was dedicated by Ezra Potter. |
