The disputed counties are ttrante, in which the Democrats claim to have elected Iearlorn senator by two votes, and Lhiffy, representative, by ten voles The Republicans claim the election of Power as senator by two votes and Cummings as representative by one vole. One precinct Is yet to be heard from in thla county. In Carbon county the Democrats claim the election r.f pleraon by three votes, with thirty-five precincts yet to hear from. These votes have been sealed and definite returns from thU county will not be available until the oiliclal count next week In Rosebud county the- Democrats claim the election of F. D. Herbold who was leading Dowlln by six votes at the last report, although there were several other precincts to hear from. In Sweetgrass county, with unofficial unoffi-cial returns from every precinct, onie of which are disputed, the Republicans Republi-cans clal mthe election of Pope by two and tho Democrats claim the elec-ti elec-ti n of Martin by three. In Cii6ter county the Republicans claim the election of Freeman over Terrett by two votes, although there ate several precincts yet to hear fiom. Without these dlspeted seats the Democrats will have 49 votes on joint ballot and the Republicans will have 47 The Democrats theref re have to secure three of the disputed seats in order to have control, while the Republicans Re-publicans will have to secure live to get the 52 votes necessary to elect a senator. In case the Republicans get four and the Democrats i'o of thse dispnied seats the legislature will be a tie on joint ballot. |
