Show MILKMAN IS FOUND GUILTY "John Doe" Llnford of the North Ogden Og-den dairy firm of Llnford Broth'T-i pleaded guilty in the police court, this morning to adulterating milk and was assessed a fin of $3u by Judgo Murphy. Llnford was arrested on a wan-nut sworn out by W. J. Hoyt, city purchasing agent. City Attorney J. II. Do Vine. In stating stat-ing the case against Llnford, told of numerous complaints which had been made bv citizens against the milk man for watering his milk. It was alleged al-leged thut Llnford, prior to delivering milk to certain co!Tee houses on Tv.en- j ty-fifth street, d llberately stopped his wagor and rd a bucket of water wa-ter Into the c nillc he was aloui to deliver It . . charged that the man did this not only once but many times and that Mr. Hoyt lay In wait for him one mornl? recently and caught him in the act or watering his milk. When Llford was asked what answer an-swer he wished to make to the charge he stated to the court that he had no answer and entered a plea of guilty. guil-ty. After the Judge had fixed the dairyman's fine, he walked from the court room and setttled with, the po-j po-j lice clerk. k Attorney DoVine states that there I 'are likely to be other prosecutions for the adulteration of milk and that many of the milk dealers who aro j not deliberately adulterating milk are . not keeping It at the temperature required re-quired by law. The attorney states I that while the recently published tests of tho local milk may have ap I peared to be all right, there are dealers deal-ers not abiding by the pure food laws in their handling of milk and , that some kind of actlou will be taken by the city against such persons |
