Show GIRL WITH A BUTCHER KNIFE Starts Out to Carve Her Companions and Is Prevented Only by the Timely Arrival of Three Men She is Afflicted ' With Homicidal Mania. It la stated by Superintendent Gow-ans Gow-ans and Dr. G W. Green of the State ' Industrial school, that Marie Armstrong Arm-strong is afflicted with homicidal Mania and Dr. Green has filed an af fidnvlt with the clerk of the district court asking that the girl be taken i belore the sanity board for examlna-tion examlna-tion as to her mental condition. It nqulred the combined com-bined efforts of two or three male members of the official force of the echool to subdue the girl The girl entered the kitchen unob ferved, where she got possession of the kitchen butcher knife. She slipped the kulfe down hor stocking and. finding find-ing a large hat pin belonging to ouo of the other girls, started out to carve everybody In sight For a mo-incut mo-incut she was in a rage of Insanity, brandishing her daugercus weapons over her head and threatening destruction de-struction to any one who might Intercept Inter-cept her. Male guards were called r.nd ttae, after a desperate struggle, succeeded In disarming the girl and placing her in a room by herself. Tho sanity board cannot be called together to-gether earlier than tomorrow, owing to the fact that Judge Howell Is out of the city and will not return until tomorrow morning.
