Show SCARCITYOFCASH DUETOPROSPERITY Salt Lake, Feb, 13. Tho middle west ib highly prosperous and yet money Is not plentiful. This Is not because there is not really more money than ever before, but because the business which Is being transacted trans-acted Is unprecedented in volume; with all of the Increased circulation there Is not sufficient capital to meet Iho enormous demands upon It. Such is tho way the situation Is sired up by E. J. Itaddatr., who arrived homo yesterday after a successful trip to Milwaukee and Chicago In the interest in-terest of the Tlntlc Standard Mining company, of which he Is manager. One of the contributory causes leading lead-ing to the situation which he noted, Mr. Raddatz says, is that a very large proportion of last year's immense cor;i crop is yet standing in tho Holds. The winter set in early and it has been as relatively severe In the middle west as it has been in Utah, which means that II has been a terror in the middle west. On the way home Mr Knddatz noticed many farmers Just beginning to husk corn in untouched fields. Naturally, much of the money needed need-ed to handle the corn crop has been tied tip it has not been released to tho regular channels. When that shall have been done a great deal of It will be available for investment in other industries Mr. Raddifz is pleased on account oi tho continued Improvement of conditions con-ditions In the Tlnctlc Standard mine. With the compressor again In commission com-mission work is being pushed In tho southeast drift as well a9 In tho west drift, and In places has Increased mineralization with virtually every foot c-xtondod. Indications appear almost al-most conclusive that the great bodies of leached Ore encouutored on the 400 foot level will be pay ore on tho 700 level. It is betleved that disclosures disclos-ures of importance will be made when the limestone formation is reachad. |
