Show SMALL LAKE FORMS ON ADAMS AVENUE This afternoon people residing between be-tween Twenty-sixth and Twenty-seventh stnets, on Adams avenue, need a flat boat or rubber boots to successfully success-fully get in or out of their homes There Is a lake In front of the residences resi-dences extending nearly to the middle of the road. The sidewalk Is under water. The accumulation of water at that point Is due to the overflow from the gutters on T went) -sixth and Twenty-seventh Twenty-seventh streets, and the clogged condition con-dition of tho drain in the gutter midway mid-way between the two streets. The ground is low at that point and the water readily flows In that direction. The city road supervisor has had a force of men working during the day, and finully succeeded In opening the gutter on Twent -sixth and Twenty-seventh Twenty-seventh streets sufficiently to carry the surplus water away In another direction. di-rection. But the lake remains, and will not bo released until tho drain is opened up The supervisor has encountered considerable difficulty In different J parts of the city in removing the Ice and other obstructions from tho gutters. gut-ters.
