Show TECOMA CAMP IS YIELDING RICH .ORE Driving 15 feet from the bottom of an old inclined shaft In the Mineral Mountain mine, at Tecoraa, Nov , has resulted In taking out a half-carload of ore, much of which runs as high 03 $130 a ton. according to C. F. Whip- j pk. who arrived In the city yesterday from camp. Taking out of the rbni ore is being continued and It Is tho Intention to send a shipment to thu smelter very soon. The Mineral Mountain is one of tho group of mines In Lucln district owned own-ed by T. G. Ckvg and associates of this city and Idaho, others being the Little Butte and Tecoma. The Mineral Miner-al Mountain and Tecoma are old mines, on the main lode of the district although the shaft from which Mr. I Whipple Is taking the rich ore was only 32 feel deep when ho started working In it. ! Lessees on the Salt Lake Copper company's property are taking out and sh'pplng ore at the rate of $2G,"00 a , month, Mr. Whipple says, with 20 men employed. That the district has a ' great future as well as a brilliant past , h has uo doubt. As an evidence of this he Is displaying a handsome gold mtdal which he has just received , from the Four-State Fair association of Ogden for the best display ow oies. Mr. Whipple had at last year's fair a display of ores, all from the Lucln district, which captured the grand prize In competition with mining camps of four states. |
