Show PATHETIC CASE BEFORE COURT OF INSANITY Salt Lake, Feb. 9. One of the most pathetic cases ever before a lunacy e-emmission was that of Mrs. Kvn M. S kes, w ho was examined as to her sanity nt the county jail. Tuesday, h.v Judge Lewis, and committed to th'" state mental hospital. Mrs. Sykes is one of the most violent persons ever examined for insanity in this county, and for several days It has been necessary neces-sary to keep a wry close watch over ber, Trouble In her family seems to hav been the cause of her condition. It developed that she had been married j three times, ond that two of her hus-; hus-; bands met violent deaths. Her father. Dr. C. H. Patrick, of New York was hrutally murdered and several other relatives have died j through accident and violence. ' Her daughter, Mary', is now on trial in Ncada, charged with the murder of her husband. Mrs. Sykes has been In the mental hospital on two previous pre-vious occasions, but it Is feared that her present condition Is hopeless. |
