Show WITNESS TO FIGHT BETWEEN MONITOR AND MERRIMAC DIES New York, Feb. 22. Captain W. H. G Nymnio, who was in command ol the steamboat Island City, which was a supply ship to the famous Monitor during the Civil war. died yesterday at his home in Flushing, L. I. Captain Cap-tain Nymmo arrived at Hampton Roads with his' ship the night before the Monitor met the Merrimac and was an eye-witness to the now historic fight. He was born in Virginia in 1S30. A widow and seven children survive him. |
