Show ORGANIZED NEW TROUT COMPANY CONCERN TO BEGIN OPERATIONS AT ONCE. Large Sum to Be Immediately Invested Invest-ed Company to Supply All Markets Mar-kets of Surrounding Country. The Ogden Valley Trout & Resort Co., completed it organization yesterday, yester-day, the following ttfllcers beiug elected, elect-ed, all of whom form tho board of directors: di-rectors: Joseph Darker, president; M. S. Browning, vice president; John Watson, Wat-son, treasurer; Chris Flygaro, secretary; secre-tary; Frank Moore, director. Hyrura Baird. one of the leading promoters in the proposition, stated yesterday that the company will commence immediate immedi-ate operations on tho big fish hdtch-ory hdtch-ory near Huntsvllle. it is understood from outside sources that the company com-pany will Invest at least 57U.OOO in the project and be prepared to supply trout fry and eggs to all the markets of the country. The newly organized company has token over the trout farm of Joseph li.-irkcr, located a mile and a half from Huntsvllle, between that village and Eden. Tho tract includes about ono hundred acres, and it is the Intention of the company to eventually improve the entire property into a summer campaign resort. One hundred cement hatching ponds will be constructed at once. These will be from 60 to 75 Toot in length, nlno feet wide, and three and one half feet deep. A strictly modern mod-ern and up-to-date fish hatchery' will bo maintained to supply eggs and frys throughout tho trout region. The demand for trout is constant and practically Insatiable, a condition which is becoming more so each season. sea-son. This is largely on account of tho Increasing number of Irrigation and water-power projects through tho west, as well as the many smelters. The fish are killed off and caught in greater numbers than can be supplied through natural sources, a fact wlilch Is now realized by tho federal government, gov-ernment, inasmuch as national hatcheries hatch-eries are now7 being constructed and maintained to supply the fishing grounds In various regions. More than fifteen million eggs were shipped Into tho state of Utah during the past year, which will give pome idea of the demand from this section alone. Most of these eggs mentioned were received from Rhode Island and Michigan.
