Opening prices of stocks receded today under brisk selling pressure and, affected by sympathy with earlier declines in Loudon. Canadian Pacific and Denver Den-ver & Rio Grande prererred declined 1, and Anaconda 5-8. Otherwise the declines were made up of small fractions. frac-tions. Prices made some further slight declines de-clines before small buying orders were executed and a recovery followed, follow-ed, led by Reading, Union Pacific and the copper stocks. The movement was of little consequence either way and was .conducted on very restricted dealings. Prices receded before light selling orders until Reading had lost a point, Colorado Southern 1 1-4 and Toledo, St. Louis & Western and Republic Steel preferred 1 1-2.
