It Is also probablo that on this trip he will make decisions In conjunction with his consulting engineer en-gineer regarding plans for the lnstai-1 lation of a power plant. This Is one of the matters that must still be arranged.- The big steam shovel Is still engaged en-gaged in the work of widening the big cuts near the Ogden city line and Is taking out the dirt and filling In various var-ious places along the route as Tast a3 I It can be moved by two trains. There Is still a great deal of this work to be done at that end of the lino, and considerable con-siderable filling at two or three places through the valley. Howover, Mr. Bamberger states that every branch of the work Is now In the hands of competent foremen and that It la progressing pro-gressing with satisfactory speed. RUSHING WORK ON BAMBERGER LINE Preparations for setting poles tor the electrification of the Salt Lake 6c Ogden railroad began Tuesday, and a large number of poles, aside from those now scattered at various points I along the liw, are arriving from Idaho I at Ogden. A large force of men has been employed and is now engaged In painting the wooden poles at the butts wltfiTiarbolatum The poles are given two coats of this treatment before going into the ground, and as soon a3 a sufficient supply of painted poles is made ready the work of setting them according to the specifications recently received from the consulting engineer will be commenced probably prob-ably some time this week. The pole setting will commence at the Ogden end of the line, but within a short time it will be taken up at various points, so that the work can be rushed rush-ed through as fast as possible. Wooden Wood-en poles will be used along the route through the country, but special steel poles will be used In the streets of Ogden. All of these poles have already al-ready been contracted for and many of them are now on tho ground. Several car firms are now preparing prepar-ing bids for tho furnishing of the type of electric car decided upon by tho company for use. The cars are specified to be 9 feet wide and 5H feet long, with a capacity for seating 62 persons. They are of a similar type used on the big electric lnterurban lines in California, up-to-date high-, speed electric cars, with a speed capacity ca-pacity of 55 miles an hour, and comfortably com-fortably furnished. !
