Frosldent Taft, by executive order, has changed the spelling of tho "La Salle" national nation-al forest in southeastern Utah, to "l.a ! Sal," to conform to tho local appiica- I tion of the name to the Salt mountains, moun-tains, called by the Spanish "La Sal," evidently with reference to the salt deposits found In the region. Formerly the spelling or the name ' of this forest was, through a mlsun dcrstandlng, mudo to conrorm wlta the name of La Salle, the French explorer.
