Jone6, tratttc manager man-ager of the club, concluded his testimony. testi-mony. He made an effort to establish the fact that the railroads favor coast communities In tho matter of rates over all Inland cities, on account of the larger traffic. The eastern rate to Phoenix, he averred, is established by combining tho true eastern rate to the coast, and the coast rate to Phoenix.. He attempted at-tempted to show the unfairness ot this ulleged discrimination. The balance bal-ance of the day was devoted to taking tak-ing testimony of local merchants, tending to prove the statement ot Jones. |
