Show PRESTON IS . TO ANSWER IN COURT HE WILL BE CHARGED WITH BOX CAR ROBBERY. Was With BurnB tho Night Seymour L. Clark Was Murdered at Uintah Station, East of Ogden. Information will be filed this afternoon after-noon or Friday morning against Jas. Preaton, charging him with burglary In connection with the box car robbery rob-bery at Uintah and tho murdor ot Deputy Sheriff Clark on Thanksgiving night. Since arriving at Ogden, Preston has made no further confession of connection with the Uintah crime, and has not been subjected to a close examination ex-amination by cither Sheriff Wilson or the district attorney. Tho prisoner is apparently contented in tho county Jail and announces perfect willingness to remain there until bo Is taken Into court for trial on the burglary charge. The man has cut ont"dope" for the time being at least, and shows physical phy-sical improvement since his incarceration incarcer-ation nearly six weeks ago. Tho story that Mrs. Preston would visit Ogdon today, with her attorney, to take steps to secure her husband's release, is not seriously considered at tho sheriff's office. The woman has failed to put in an asroarancc and if sho visited the county Jail, where Preston is confined, it is more than doubtful whether she would be allowed allow-ed to see or converse with him. |
