Tho Ogden Tabernacle choir Is deserving de-serving of much praise for its determination deter-mination to present at leaflt two standard stand-ard oratorios annually In Ogden, The Messiah" at Christmas time and "The Creation" In tho spring. An ambitious production of "Tho Creation" was given at the tabernacle ' last May and tho choir is to perform "Tho Messiah" New Year's inornlm; at 'ho Alhambra. Believing that the uplifting effect of good music Is a fine asset to a community The Standard Examiner bespeaks generous support for the choir's offering. Nobody Is trying to make any money mon-ey from tho performance of "The Mes-j slah. Th theatre Is being contributed contrib-uted without charge for the occasion. Members of the choir are working hours and hours solely for the love of good music to make the event a success. suc-cess. It is truo that an admission fee is being charged but the amount asked j for admission is small. Those promoting promot-ing the musical event desire to obtain 1 from the sale of tickets to "Tho Messiah" Mes-siah" merely a sum laigc enough to pay the expenses of giving a free outdoor out-door performance of "The Creation" in a public park here late next spring. With a well-trained chorus, excellent excel-lent soloists, a symphony orchestra and a pipe organ.
