Show CAPTURING THE HOLDUPS. With remarkable quickness, the police, po-lice, on Wednesday night, captured the robbers who held up the drug store at lhe corner of Twenty second street und Washington avenue. The officers were aided by the information given I by four boys who, from the outside, witnessed the robbery. The youngsters trailed the bandits to the European I hotel and immediately notified the police po-lice station. While much in the way of crime is charged to the movies, It may bo tha; the boys who played the part of BleuthS, gained tho idea from the motion mo-tion pictures and were prompted in that manner to help serve tho law. However, they did a big service to the community and should be recognized for the part they played. One of the bandits 16 a boy of 17. At an age when he should be close to his mother's apron strings, this young fellow fel-low was doing a desperate deed and taking the firat big Bteps in becoming a hardened criminal. He needs remaking re-making both mentally and physically. i Unless he is made to see the world with' different eyes and is forced to yield to the decent requirements of life, he may remain a criminal to tho nd of his days. Somewhere there must be a mother waiting for his return re-turn and wondering as to where he footsteps have led her boy. Perhaps the lather has played no great role In I the boy's life. If That bo true, then I the young bandit is the victim of i home that had no head, and he Is the i creature ol a bad environment. But he Is bed, and must be handled with I firmness.
