Tho death of Captain John Johncox, who had tho distinction of having once attempted at-tempted to chastlso the late King Edward Ed-ward of England, then prince of Wales, was reported here. During tho regatta at Cowes, In 1SS0, Johncox was crossing tho yachtsmen's yachts-men's green after dark, when some one sitting on a bench thrust forth a foot and tripped him.
