Show uu State Food Commission to Assist As-sist Local Health Officer in Campaign A campaign which will seek to insure in-sure that Ogden residents obtain products prod-ucts of standard quality and are not sold misbranded goods or articles of short weight, will be opened hero immediately im-mediately under the direction of Dr. J. M. Elliott, city sanitary inspector, in connection with similar work being carried on by the state dairy and food department, accordnig to an announcement announce-ment made this morning. Dr. Elliott was In conference with Walter M. Boy-den, Boy-den, state dairy and food Inspector yesterday yes-terday in Salt Lake, during which the Ogden campaign was planned. As outlined by Dr. Elliott the work will be immedaitely begun hero with the checking of products sold by local merchants. Particular attention will be directed to the labels contained on various commodities and in cases Where misrepresentation is made, prosecutions pros-ecutions will follow, Dr. Elliott declared. de-clared. Weights of packages containing contain-ing products will be carefully checked up and an examination of canned goods will be made. The work will be continued hero until un-til practically all stores of the city have been under surveillance by the inspectors, according to Dr. Elliott. oo |
