A Memorial day message from Presldont Wilson to American veterans of tho world was received hero todav hv th Am oHnnn I Legion Weekly. It read: "Wo approach the annual celebration of Memorial day with our hearts filled with tenderost and grateful memories of those who havo given their lives for America. The day has been consecrated conse-crated to the oountry's heroic dead. This is observed by thoso who wero comrades in arms and who shared with the well-remembered dead tho experiences, exper-iences, tho hardships, tho perils and tho glory of war; thi3 Ib colobrated by the people of the country who tako It as an annual occasion to renow their loyalty to the country and to draw fresh Inspiration for tho tasks of" peace from the memory of the sacrifices which were made so freely in times of war. "Tho day is therefore filled with both memories of teh past and inspections inspec-tions for tho future. It gathers the traditions of what we have done in order or-der that wo may have the courage for what wo have to do. "Progress moves like an army; it has its days of training and preparations, prepara-tions, Its days of conflict and its days of vindication; It has Its campfires and its memories. To you who were soldiers sol-diers of America in the groat war I send affectionate greetings.
