Show I HOUSE PASSES SENATE PEACE RESOLUTION WASHINGTON, May 21. The vote wrast,228 to 139, and was along strict party lines except that 19 Democrats joined the Republicans in supporting the measure, while two Republicans Re-publicans Kelly of Michigan, and Fuller of Massachusetts opposed it. Cannot Override Veto. From tho size of the Republican vole It was clearly Indicated that the resolution reso-lution could not be passed over the veto of the president. The senate vote on passage last week was 43 to 38. The house total lacked 17 votes of the two-thirds necessary to override the veto. Seven Democrats, against the measure, which was a substitute for the house resolution, were paired with Republicans favoring it. Final action by the house came after af-ter an hour's debate, the Republicans refusing to grant the Democratic request re-quest for more time. Spokesmen for both parties in the course of the debate de-bate announced a willingness to enter the political campaign on their present records. One Democrat Fears Defeat. Only one Democrat, Representative Huddleston of Alabama, expressed fear of possible political consequences.
