GOOD GARAGE. 239 25th St. M. B. WILSON, Mgr. Phone 41 I More Information I I For the Buyers of "Eats" El Keep Your Credit Good 1 Did you ever stop to think just how much your credit is worth to you? You who have always paid cash for every thing and have never needed to ask for a credit account? B Gome day you may get "up against it" and really need some credit. You ask your grocer Bj "for a stand off." If you have been trading with a Cash Store, do you get it? We rather H guess not He says he sells only for cash. While he does not say co in effect he says, tell 9 your troubles to . You go to a "regular" store. The first thing he asks is where have you been trading. You reply that you have always paid cash. The merchant looks dubious. He wants to know all about your affairs and if you have always paid cash why you do no', continue to do so. But if, on the other hand, you bad a credit account and want M ( to change for any reason, you say you have been trading with such and such a store. He B reports that you have always paid as you agreed. Then if you continue to pay as agTeed, you have an established credit, and it is the MOST VALUABLE ASSET A MAN CAN HAVE. All big business is done on credit Railroads, electric plants, packing houses, etc., do a large part of their business on credit. Credit is confidence in the other fellow. If the whole country loses confidence in one another and in business in general, it causes what is known as a "panic." Nations, states, cities and in fact all governments are run on H ! a credit basis. The great war used more credit than was ever needed before. It behooves B every one to keep his credit GOOD, always paying as agreed. We operate a credit store. We believe in credit. It may cost you a trifle more, but it is worth many times its cost. ffl Keep Your Credit Good P I Now answering some of the insinuations, a Cash and Carry store says, "It is said the fl j newly reorganized grocers' association is putting forth a concerted effort to put us out of B j business." We suppose he refers to the newly organized "Merchants of Ogdcn" ; he should be better informed. The newly organized "Merchants of Ogden" is an organization open to anyone "who maintains a place of business" and is not a grocers' organization by any ' j means. There has been a committee to solicit the co-operation of every business house in Ogden. and so far there has been a very general response If the committee has not called upon this particular party, they no doubt will do soon. In the meantime he can make ap- B plication to the manager, Miss Stewart, in the Eccles Building, or to Mr. Lewis at his place of business, and we are sure either will extend him every courtesy. The writer of B these articles, as one of the directors of the n;w organization, can assure him that his name B has not been mentioned in any way, let alone making an organized effort against him. The organization is to build up. not tear down. As to the charge that we are the "goat" used to discredit him. we absolutely deny that we are trying to discredit him; we are only trying try-ing to offset what he and others have been doing to discredit the legitimate business inter- I ests of which we are a part, and we assume all the responsibility of being the "goat" 3 We believe in honest methods not only in wiights and measures which is taken as a matter jSSf of course, but in honest advertising methods as well. We are in business to make a living ! tj and as much money as we honestly can. and we believe we can, by our efficient methods, give the public more for their money than a cash and carry store can or will. Saturday we are able to offer the same attractive prices and qualities we did last week. You who bought last week know what that quality was.
