Bertha Harris, president of the ', Parent-Teachers association ot the ' Mound Fort school, and Mrs. Harry, Wvight. vice president, called upon Mayor Frank Francis today and urged 1 his support of the propositlou of es-' tablishlng a branch of the Carnegie library li-brary in the Third ward. Such a branch is wanted, it Is de-, clared, in order that residents of the district may be more efficiently served t by tho library. Mayor Francis said he was in favor of the proposition and promised that' the matter would be given considora-j tlon but he called attention to the, trimming of expenditures that must take place in connection with the cs-j tabliehment of a budget system. i Following the conference with the mayor Mrs. Harris and Mrs. Wright I called upon Commissioner Chris Fly-1 gare and discussed with him the problems prob-lems of caring for childron who use the playgrounds at Lorin Farr park.
