War-time re-; strictions as to the viseing of passports pass-ports have been so modified that tourist tour-ist travel to Groat Britain now is permitted, per-mitted, it was announced here by Captain Cap-tain M. Jeffes, passport control officer offi-cer of the British consulate. Previous regulations, which had been in effect since 1914, permitted tho viseing of passports only of those who were going go-ing to England for business or emergency emer-gency purpose.', it was said. J By modifying the restrictions much time in the issuing of the documents j now is saved. Where previously no-i tice of from three to ten days was re- quired the passports can now be vised in a few minutes provided th applicant has complied with the existing exist-ing laws. |
