Show Sporting Parson of England in Brooklyn LONDON, Feb. 11. The Rev. Evor-ard Evor-ard DIgby, known in England as "the sporting parson," who has been offered of-fered the pastorate of tho Church of the Ascension in Brooklyn, N. Y has toured the eastern United States as a member of a theatrical company several sev-eral years ago. Rev. Mr. Digby told an interviewer that the Brooklyn offer appealed to him. "I visited America in my acting days as a member of Miss Langtry's company," ho said. "We had a very successful sJx months' season, openlngj at the Gnrrick Iheatre, New York, with 'The Cross Ways' and touring tho whole of the eastern states.
