Falck, president of the I Women of American Patriots of this I city, was hostess to tho members of the organisation a: an informal tea ' n at her home on Monroe avenue luM Saturday afternoon from 2 until o'clock. ELKS' FIRST PARTY OF SEASON The first party to be given by th local Elks this year was held in the home last Monday evening and a large number of the Elks and their ladles wore present to enjoy a fine program of dances. The entertainment committee com-mittee was composed of Robert M Hoggan. chairman; R. J. Douglas, E. W. Browning, Arthur Woolley, William Wil-liam T. Greenwell. Curtis Allison. George HuSS and B. C. Richardson and they were indeed diligent in their effort ef-fort to make the first party a suc-oess. suc-oess. Fruit punch and wafers were served during the evening- HOME FROM IDAHO. Mrs. Gertrude Gallagher has returned re-turned from Idaho where she has been visiting for the past few weeks with I friends and relatives. RECEPTION FOR REVEREND AND MRS. C. R. GARVER. Last Thursday evening at the Esther Es-ther home on Twenty-fifth street and Adams avenue, a most delightful reception re-ception was tendered Reerend and Mrs. C. R. Garver. Miss Bell Furga-son, Furga-son, deaconess, and Mr. and Mrs. William Prary by members of the Methodist church- The Esther parlors were brishtly decorated for the occasion with Aases of pink and white cosmos. The reception was indeed a pleasant pleas-ant one and was attended by a larqe number of the church member- and their friends who extended their congratulations con-gratulations and best wishes to 1 1m-guests 1m-guests of honor in their success and for the furtherance of their welfare. Reverend Garver has had charge of the locl pastorate for three jears ' while Reverend Frary is to leav' den shortly lor Eureka. Utah, where he is to take charge of the Methodist j church there. Miss Furgason has been I reassigned to the work in Ogden, The evening was spent in eocial chat and a nicely arranged program of music and readings was given as ioiiows Piano and vocal selections . ..
