Sellens, an organizer tor the United Mine Workers who w;i-killed w;i-killed August 26 when mine Rtiard- of i the Allefhancy Coal and Coke company com-pany of West Natrona are alleged to haye fired into a crowd of striking miners. The shooting has been called to the attention of the senate labor commit-tee commit-tee at Washington by labor leaders The labor leaders charge that Mrs. Bellenj was' murdered" by the m,ne( guards while protecting children from Hi- Ir bullets. One mine guard is out on bail on a charge of murder in connection with tho shooting. Sherifr Haddock testified that he had deputized setenteen men at the request re-quest of tho company to protect the mines when tho strike was Called.
