Show Democrats Hold Conference at Atlantic City ATLANTIC CITY, N. J Sepl 25. (Headed by Homer S. Cummings, thej chairman, members of the Democratic national committee arrived hero tonight to-night for a two-day conference iK'n jning tomorrow. Mr umminga Baid he expected Attorney General Palmer late tonight and that tomorrow Sec Ire-tary of the Treasury Class would jjoin the conferees. ' Statements were made that the con- ferehce would liear a report from Chairman Cummings and deal with preliminary matters pertaining to preparations for the next campaign, especially with the formation 01 units that will deal with educational instruction in-struction of women, whom the committee com-mittee believes will soon bo giveu the ballot. The announcement was made that 'he "committee realizes that its function Is to elect and not nominate, and that there would be no presidential presiden-tial candidates discussed or '.roomed during the meeting here or when ii sits in full session." |
