Show lift GUARD IIIOHIED Captain Walter E. Lindquist enrolled enroll-ed fifteen men In the new national guard at the armory last evening. Last night was the first night of enlistments, enlist-ments, and the interest shown indicates indi-cates that a largo number, of Ogden men will take advantage of this opportunity oppor-tunity to serve at home while their sons "and relatives are abroad. Captain Lindquist says he expects the enrollment enroll-ment tonight to bo very heavy. Seven of those already enlisted have had previous military training. Captain Lindquist appointed the following fol-lowing men to act as a committee to assist in the enroliing of men: Thos. F. Prcshaw, Byron Dee, Frank F. Mathews, Wm. H. Thacker, George Uding. Regular work of training the men will commence next week. |
