Show Severe Air Fighting. LONDON, Friday, Aug. 23. British air fighting on the western front during dur-ing the last week provides a striking Indication of the difllculty now confronting con-fronting Germany in the air. In the battle area enemy scouts arc compelled to operate in large forma' tions at a much greater height than formerly. Severe air fighting has occurred between be-tween Albert and the Amiens-Roye road, resulting according to latest reports, re-ports, in the destruction of sixty -two enemy machines and the driving down of twenty-one airplanes out of control. con-trol. Twenty-six British machines have been reported missing. This superiority has been attained without any diminution of the aerial activity in other sectors.
