A resolution proposing an amendment to Sec- tlon 3, Article 13 of the Constitution of the H State of Utah, relattaz to uniform t&xet ft&d ,H exemptions. 1 Bo it resolved br the Legislature of the State iH of Utah, two-thirds of all the member elected 1 to each home concurring therein: Section 1. That It U proposed to amend H Section 3 of Article XIII of the Constitution H of the State of Utah to that tba tame -prill iH rend ns follown: 'H Sectlun 3. The Legislature shall provide by tH law a uniform and equal rate of assessment H and taxation on all property In the State, &c- H cordinc to its value in ruoher. and shall pre- H scribe by ceneral law such regulations as shall ,1 secure a just valuation for taxation of all H property, so that every perwn and corpora- ifl tion shall nay a tax in proportion to the Jl value of his, her or its property; Provided, ,1 that a deduction of debits from credits may be authorized: Provided further. Section 2. The Secretary of State Is directed IH to cause this proposed amendment to be pub- iH lished as required by the Constitution and to be submitted to the electors of the State at the next general clction in the manner pro- tH vidc-d by law.
