Show MACHINISTS VOTE TO CALL STRIKE SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 2 1 Machinists Machin-ists unions of San Francisco and Oakland, Oak-land, Calif., and the Boilermakers' and iron shipbuilders' mion of the latter city, voted today to strike December 9 as a protest against the execution of Thomas J. Mooney, sentenced- to hang December 13 as the result of his conviction of murder in connection connec-tion with the Preparedness day bomb explosion here on July 22, 191G. Announcement was made by the International Workers' pefense league, an organization devoted to Mooney's defense, that plans were considered today for a labor demonstration at Mooney's funeral in the event of his execution. A committee will visit Mooney at San Quentin prison to get his suggestions about the arrangements. arrange-ments.
