Show U. S. GUARDS NOW AT FORT O.OlUGLAS SALT LAKE, Nov. 25 A detachment detach-ment of fifty-three U. S. guards arrived ar-rived at Fort Douglas yesterday morning mor-ning from the Presidio, San Francisco, assigned for guard and fatigue duty at the local posL These men, with fifty-five limited aa'MiL utTi u.jtULj.jm-um.iC-u.tH ,n r .innii.it, ni.rni- service men from Fort Sill, Okla., who arrivod Saturday night, make a total of 10S new men to arrive at tho post in the past twenty -four hours and 'thoy partially replace the 240 engineers engi-neers who left Saturday night for Camp Funston and Fort Leavonworth, Kan. Tho limited service men from Fort Sill aro assigned to the post base hospital hos-pital as members of the hospital detachment de-tachment of the post and for the time being, at least, are under command of Captain B. M. Jones, acting past surgeon. sur-geon. This brings his total enlisted command up to sixty-seven men. The new guard soldiers are under the command of Major Wesley King, who is the new post commander at the fort. |
