Show Radio Control By Government Urged in Bill WASHINGTON, Nov. 25 Hearings will begin before tho house merchant marine committee December 12 on an administration bill which provides for permanent government control of radio ra-dio communication through tho purchase pur-chase and operation of all shore sta- tions In this country used for commercial commer-cial purposes. The navy department has been operating op-erating all plants in tho country since the nation entered the war. Officials of the department hold that a practical practi-cal government monopoly in radio communication is necessary in ordor that international agreements may be executed properly and that government govern-ment business, such as communication -.vith the fleet at sea, shall not be interfered in-terfered with. j |
