Show ; ODX ELDER MFT PAPERS ARRIVE ; BRIGHAM CITY, Nov. 2S. The second number of the high school ly-' ly-' ceum course will be given at the high school Friday evening. The Zedeler Symphonic quintette will appear in this number, and it is announced as one of tho best attractions of the present pres-ent course. Local draft officials have received instructions and all necessary blanks from Washington concerning the second sec-ond draft call, ad have bee asked to hold themselves in readiness to act promptly when final notice is sent them to begin the' examination of men for the second draft. The local board Is composed of Sheriff John H. Zundel County Clerk John G. Wheatley, and County Physician David W. Henderson, Hender-son, cy In checking up on the damages sustained sus-tained by the opera house In this city when fire broke out in the building two weeks ago and destroyed the rear end of the building, Junius Young of Salt Lake, fire adjuster for the Home Fire Insurance Co. of Now York, paid tho Brigham volunteer fire department depart-ment a high compliment for the apparent ap-parent efficient work accomplished by the organization In combatting the flames and finally checking them. Mr. Young declared that in his belief Brig-ham Brig-ham had the best volunteer fire department de-partment in the state. The first annual meeting of the Brigham farm bureau has been called by Secretary John B. Mathias, and will be held in the Commercial club rooms Monday evening. December 3. Officers I and directors for the ensuing year will be elected at this meeting. |
