Show RAILROAD MEN HAVE1 MADE EXCELLENT RECORD A great response to the third Lib-, erty loan is being made by railway employes, especially those of the Ogden Og-den Union Railway & Depot company. Yesterday this- company raised from amonc its employes, as the first day s work In the campaign for the third loan, more than the total sum sub-scribed sub-scribed amonp the employes in both of the previous campaigns. The employes who are now with the company are doing their "bit" in this manner out of respect to the men who have gone to the front, as well as from patriotic motives. This compan has sent 36 of its best and most useful employes to fight for the Stars and Stripes and some of them are now on the French front ready to be thrown into the breach The employes of the company fee that the are doing very little compared com-pared with what Is being done by those who have gone to the service of the country with the colors The officials state that they are very proud of the spirit manifested among the employes. It is Ihc announced hope of all local railroad officials that when this campaign cam-paign Is over and all the returns made, it will be found that the knights of l he rail and their fellow craftsmen have scored a record of 100 per cent that is. ihat not ono of them has failed to take at least one bond But the railroad rail-road companies will not feel that their employes have done enoueh by simply taking one bond and then resting at thai. They expect their employes to buy as heavily in tne securities oi me n.tiion as they possibly can, even to making some sacrifice to do it. And I the companies have made such ar-1 rangements that any employe can afford af-ford to make liberal purchases. The O. I . R- & D company has about 700 employes and yesterday 305 of them came forward and bought bonds in a few hours. All to Subscribe. It is the hope of Superintendent J. II.
