Show Haywood's Stenos Will Take Stand In L W. W. Hearing SACRAMENTO, Cal., Dec. 14. Two former stenographers for William D. Haywood, general executive officer for the I. W. W., who was convicted in the Chicago conspiracy case this year and other Chicago witness are expected to be called Monday when the trial of 44 alleged members of the Industrial Workers of the World on charges of violent attempts to disrupt war work is resumed. The stenographers are Miss E. Seery and Miss E. Servess, Robert Duncan, apeclal attorney for the department de-partment of justice, announced. These and Frank Quinn, a printer, and Phil Barry and Russell Lutz, federal operatives, oper-atives, are to be called in an effort to connect California Industrial Workers Work-ers with an alleged nation-wide plot against the government. Later witnesses from Butte, Mont., Spokane, Wash., and Utah will be placed on the stand, the attorney said. nn |
