Show ! - SOUTHERN P1CIFIC TO HAVE BASEBALL LEAGUE The Southern Pacific railroad is to have a baseball league this year, according ac-cording to the dope received at this office, J. E. Stone has been appointed appoint-ed manager and L. J. Mann secretory and treasurer of the league. Six ot Ihe railroad towns will be represented In the league They are Sparks, Reno, Imlay, Carlin, MIna, and Ogden. The teas will be composed of railroad em. ployes only. The Ogden bat swingers were organized or-ganized last Sunday, but a captain will not be elected for some time. The shop band will accompany the team or all trips. -n advisory board meeting meet-ing will !' held Friday to complete the forming Of the league and to draw up ml - |
