Sanderson, the Democratic nominee nomi-nee for the office of county assessor, possesses excellent qualifications for filling that position if he is successful success-ful next Tuesday. He is a man whose integrity and character are guarantees guaran-tees that no considerations save those of public service and the determination determina-tion to carry out his oath of office will influence him in performing his official duties. Mr. Sanderson was born in Fair-view, Fair-view, Utah, some fifty-two years ago and, after completing his common school education, attended Brigham Young university at Provo. After leaving school he engaged in a variety va-riety of occupations, among others being be-ing those of superintendent of the Sanpete Coal and Coke company for several years, a contractor on the Denver & Rio Grande, teaching at the B. Y. U. and at Cassia Stake Academy Acad-emy at Oakley, Idaho. His teaching experience covered twelve years. Mr. Sanderson finally entered the service of the federal government as an Inspector in the agricultural department. de-partment. In 1906 he was transferred transfer-red from Tacoma, Wash., to Oeden for work In this branch of the government gov-ernment service and since that time has made his home here. He is now connected with the Utah Power and Light company. Although a sincere Democrat, Mr. Sanderson has never been a partisan who placed his political po-litical affiliation before the needs of the community or nation, and is making mak-ing his campaign solely on the basis of merit If elected, he promises that strict equity and fairness will be the only considerations which will move him in the adjustment of valuations in the city and county. |
