Show i JAKE PARKER. WELL KNOWN CAI1IER. ! IS CANDIDATE FOR SENATOR I Candidate for Senator from Weber County on the Democratic Ticket. Jake Parker, whose initials are W. J., the Democratic candidate for State Senator from Weber County, is too well known to need any special introduction in-troduction to the voters of Weber County. Mr. Parker was born in Davis County and has been prominently promin-ently identified with the progressive business Interests of Weber County since he was a, young man. He has been a leader In the development of the canning industry in this section and the fact that Weber County has taken the lead is largely due to the work of Mr. Parker and other men of his class. At the present flme the Parker Canneries consist of six factories, fac-tories, five of which are in operation this year. Each year these factories give profitable employment to hun-' dreds of Weber County people and of- fer a remunerative market to the far-' mers of this vicinity. Jake Parker has made a reputation as a fair-minded, progressive business man. He is one of the common people and has always been inte?ested in laws that will work the greatest good to the greatest number. He is not controlled controll-ed by pledge, promise, "or business associates, and is in a position to consider con-sider and propose legislation strictly upon its merits to the community which he represents.
