Show DEATH WAS DUE . TO PERITONITIS i That the death of J. B. Schillerman, which occurred at the De hospital yesterday morning, was due to peritonitis peri-tonitis and not due to tho knife wounds inflicted by Jack.HarleBS in a fight at BvanBton a week ago, waB the decision of a board of examining exam-ining physicians yesterday afternoon following an autopsy performed on tho body of tho former Union Pacific operator. The post mortem examination was called by A. A. Crawford, county attorney at-torney at Evanston, and It was conducted con-ducted by Drs. J. H. Holland and C. A. Folier bf Evanston, and ff, RL Morrell, Ezra C. Rich and A. A. Robinson. Rob-inson. At its conclusion the physi-olanB physi-olanB signed an affidavit covering the decision stated above. It was found that two of the four cuts inflicted by Harleas had passed through the walls of the abdomen, but were not of a serious nature. Attorney Crawford stated last night that ho had not dccldod what charge would be preferred against HarlesB, but thought that of nasault with a deadly weapon w,lth Intent to commit murder would be pressed. |
