Show oo 10 BEREPORTED Measure Expected to Yield $205,000,000, Annually Provides for Non-partisan Tariff Board. Washington, Aug. 15. The revised administration revenue bill which is expected to yield $205,000,000 annually was ready today for submission to tho senate. It was finally approved by senate Democrats in caucus last night as amended by the finance committee. The bill probably will be reported to the senate tomorrow and taken up for consideration as soon as tho government shipping bill is disposed bf. Features of the revised measure are a surtax on Incomes, an inheritance inheri-tance tax, a ten per cent tax on the net profit on the manufacturer of war munitions; a ten per cent tax on products pro-ducts used in thb manufacture of munitions; a corporation tax, liquor taxes and miscellaneous taxes. The measure retains the house provision pro-vision tor a non-partisan tariff commission; com-mission; provides for a tariff on coal tar dyestuffs and medicinal derivities and increasing the taxes on medicines over tho house bill. |
