Show jj THIRTY PLAYERS UN BEAVER STAFF McCredie to Have Ten College Col-lege Men on His Squad Strong for Rah-rah Boys. Portland, Feb. 2j Walter McCredie, McCre-die, the friend of the college ball play ers. for economical reasons only, has gathered together his club for the 191G training season. Over 30 players v 111 be on the Beaver squad when McCredie Mc-Credie takes the team to the training season. McCredie will have close to ten college col-lege men on his squad this spring, and he hopes to find one or two who are ripe for the Coast league. The Beaver boss Is strong for the rah-rah boys, because he gets them for nothing, and if they stick their pay check amount to about one-half a regular Coast leaguer A small army of hurlers have been signed by Mac and ho hopes to pick a formidable heaving staff from the bunch that he takes to the camp. Only three of last year's twlrlers will be uith the club, and one of them may be dropped before tho season rolls around. The Beaver hurling staff was not up to McCredio's standard last year, and the pennant hog of the coast isn't going go-ing to take any chances the coming ear |
